How to unlock your Android smartphone after failed pattern lock attempts

How to deal with a locked Smartphone after a maximum wrong pattern entry attempts? How to unlock your pattern locked Micromax Canvas HD smartphone? How to deal with too many failed log in attempts? This article will provide you an insight on how to deal with this situation.

It sure is cool and fun to have a pattern lock on your smartphone. But what happens when it locks off after many failed attempts? Here is what you can do.

(Something you can try first - This may work or may not. Give it a try - Try calling your number from some other phone. Receive the call and without cutting the call, press home button and see if you can go back to the home page. If you can, rest is simple! Go to settings and get your unlock option unchecked!)

Option 1:

Use your Google account to unlock the phone: This solution works if you have data enabled on your smarty either a service provider data plan or a wifi. If connected, Just enter the gmail username and password that you have set up on your Android smartphone.
Option 2:

The second option, sadly is a hard reset. This will completely wipe off your phone data. Different phones have different hard reset options. The usual one is pressing Power+Volume+Home buttons together. In the case of Micromax Canvas HD, switch off your phone and then press Volume down+Volume up+Power button simultaneously.  Now use your volume rocker button to go to recovery mode. Choose data/factory reset and follow the instructions.
Option 3:

Now there is one more option. Here you will have to spend some money. There is an Application called Screen Lock Bypass pro . This is how it will work (As retrieved from play store)
1) Unplug the charger from your device.

2) Login to the Web based Android Market using your PC.
3) Using the Web Market, install this application to your registered device.
4) Once installed, plug your charger into the device to activate the bypass.
5) Once bypassed you will see an "Activate" button. Click it, and your screen lock will be reset.

Try these out! Do let me know if it worked!

  1. Nice Blog! Thanks for sharing this information. I also have an Android phone but I faced another problem. My phone got locked during changing the network carrier. Then I shared the mobile information such as IMEI number to the unlocking company. Followed the easy steps, I unlocked my phone without any difficulty.
