An easy trick to solve 'cannot install Google services' on your Android smartphone

Are you not able to install Google play or Google services on your smartphone? Are you getting the error 'incompatible with other application(s) using the same shared user ID' while trying to install play store? Is you play store incompatible with your Custom ROM? Here is a work around for you!

Unable to install Google services
So what you need to do is install the right version of GApps on your system.

  1. Download the GApps that has been built for your ROM. You can find that here
  2. Make sure you know which folder it has been downloaded to
  3. Switch off your smartphone
  4. Go to recovery. Do a Factory reset/ Data wipe. This step is not necessary, but you are advised to do the same. But before doing that, make sure you have your data backed up
  5. Now flash the GApps that you had downloaded by installing the Zip
  6. After the install, wipe the cache partition and the Dalvik cache
  7. Restart the phone
  8. Now install the latest version of Google play
  9. Once you have the Play store install, update all the applications on your playstore
  10. Now just install the play services.
This should solve the issue.

Note: I wouldnt guarantee that this would work for all ROMS. Please be sure you do a bit of a research before doing this work around! (I'm not responsible for bricking you phone!)
