How to deal with 'No SIM card detected' issue due to invalid IMEI on your Micromax Canvas HD smartphone

Are you having issues with your smartphone not being able to detect the Sim card? Are you facing a network issue on your smartphone? Do you get a 'No sim card installed' error on your phone? Here is an easy way to re-engineer your Micromax Canvas HD smartphone to solve the issue.

So this is what you have to do

This usually happens when your phone gives you a 'Wrong IMEI' message. If that happens, follow these instructions.

1. Check if the IMEI is intact - Go to your dial pad and dial *#06#. Once you dial it, the IMEI number should automatically show up. If that doesn't happen, follow these steps.
2. You have to punch in a few command lines. So you have to switch your Micromax Canvas HD into 'engineer mode'. Here is how you do it - Go to dial pad and type - * # * # 3646633 # * # *
3. Now you are in the MTK engineer mode
4. Go to connectivity tab
5. Under that, go to CDS Info (Common data service)
6. Now click on that and you will see a bunch of option
7. Select Radio Information
8. Click on Phone 1
9. What you would be seeing is 'Unknown' or 'Invalid IMEI'
10. Now what you need to do is enter your IMEI no - Click on AT+ on the top and type these AT+EGMR=1,7,"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX".....  Here "XX.....X" is your IMEI number. Type it (make sure its in quotes). Now click send.
11. After successfully sending the message restart your phone.
12. Continue with the same process for Phone 2.
13. Now your IMEI will be registered!
